Purple Passion?

These are a few of my newest creations....as you can tell, I'm on a purple kick!
The cards with the bird and the butterfly are made with my newest stamp set, A Touch of Nature.
I love this stamp set. It's so clean and simple and beautiful. Both cards were really easy, and could definitely be made in under a half hour. Those are the kind of cards I like! I also challenged myself this week to use a set I haven't used in a while.
This purple card was created with Petal Prints, an all time favorite. If you look closely, for the background of the card, I took the outline flower and stamped it all the way around the edges of the card. I'm not sure you could really tell that if I hadn't said anything. It sort of looks like a bunch of squiggly lines. For the second layer, I stamped a brown piece of cardstock with the tall flower in the set. I stamped the flower really, really close together, so it's not recognizable as a flower. I really love how this one turned out, it's definitely something new and different, don'tcha think? It's one of my newest favorites. I didn't have a whole lot of time this week to make cards, which bums me out! I had lots of little errands to take care of, and I had some freelance work to take care of this week too. Tonight on the homefront, it's nice and quiet and peaceful. I've been able to work on a gift for a friend, so I'm a happy camper. I think I'll clean up and head up to bed soon. Remember, keep stamping...it's much cheaper than therapy!!!!
