Woo Hoo! I got my first visitor & comment!

Wow! It's exciting that someone actually visited my blog!! Thank you to my little SCS friend who actually took the time to visit and write!!! {{{{{{{HUGS TO YOU}}}}}}!!

It's been a busy day today. I spent part of it working (I am a freelance media buyer in my spare time), and part of it trying to teach my youngest son a lesson about spray painting on the house. Yes, spray painting. One day a few weeks ago, I was working on a craft project in the garage. I was using spray paint. Apparently, my youngest son was "bored" and thought he'd see what would happen if he sprayed a little paint on the molding of the garage, and then a little bit more on the downspout. The little stinker never told me he did it until I found it the other day. THEN he decides to deny it when I asked him if he had done it. Of course he was so OFFENDED that I would have even thought to ask him this, and he promptly, aggressively told me that he had NOT done it. My blood was boiling, I'll tell you that. This little stunt had his name written all over it!!!!! The next morning I told him that if he wanted to play wiffle ball with his friends that day, he needed to tell me if he had painted the garage. Five minutes later he confessed. Duhhhhhh. Not a surprise!!! Now, back to today......I spent part of it helping my son paint the trim on the garage. He's actually a FANTABULOUS helper, so he wasn't too put out by having to do this, but, cleaning the brushes after the primer coat was NOT something he wanted to do. I told him too bad, buckaroo, this has got to hurt, and apparently, cleaning the brushes is causing you a little bit of pain. Too bad. So sad. I don't think he'll ever spray paint on ANY surface of ANYTHING ever again. Just the way I wanted it. Kids. They drive me crazy sometimes!

I've been so busy with my freelance work that I haven't had time to stamp yesterday or today. I am going to sign off here and try and put together a SCS challenge card. I need to stamp to help relieve the stress I'm feeling right now. Do any of YOU stamp to relieve stress? I find myself getting really stressed out if I haven't stamped for a few days in a row! Time to go now. I'll try and upload some pics later today, as it wasn't working yesterday!

  1. Oh boy - spray paint on the house... at least it was on a surface that could be repainted!

  2. Just had to say hi and I enjoyed reading your blog. Your cards are great, and isn't parenting fun?? I love to stamp too but don't get as much time to do it as I would like. I related to the reasons you gave for stamping. You sound much more prolific than I am - 100 cards sent to your sister to sell!! I am not even sure I have made a total of 100 cards! Lol! Keep writing and stamping :-)

Keep up the good job parenting! The spray paint story is one that both of you will remember for a long time! And way to go with the blog. You're doing great!

  4. Great Cards! We found out this week that my cousin has cancer and will start treatments in 2 weeks. She is only 47 years old has been told that she has 1 1/2 year to live.

I would love to send her some of your card during her treatments. Can you look through your current stock and let me know if you have any that would work.

    Thanks
