Sweet Sophistication

Well, I managed to get back to my blog before a full week slipped by between posts!

Ugh, working so much is definitely putting a dent into my creative time! It stinks! Besides work, all the stuff I have to do for graduation is getting in the way too. No time for play, boo-hiss!

The other thing getting in the way of creative fun is the bridal shower I'm throwing in a few weeks (I know, I'm a glutton for punishment!). The one creative thing I did manage to get done last weekend was the invitation for the shower. What I love about the invite is that the bulk of it was done on the computer and the remaining stamping was super-duper easy, thanks to this fabulous flower from PTI! It comes from my all time favorite stamp set from Papertrey, called Friends to the End.

I made the invite big enough to mail in a legal sized envelope. I definitely wanted something more sophisticated for the invite. The colors of the wedding are black and cream, and the bridal bouquet will have orange and pink flowers. Perfect, uh? Simple. I needed something fast and easy. Just need to "get'r done", I say.

Well, it's time for me to jump in the shower to get ready for work. I am hoping and praying I get some fun time in the stamp studio this weekend. I really need it.

Hugs,
Amy

  7. That is beautiful. I love doing invites like that where some of it is done on the computer and the rest is stamped over. I've done ones like this for several birthday parties. :-)

I don't think you are a glutton for punhishment....you are a sweet, caring, helpful, creative person who loves to share her work with others...I'm sure that's why you take all this on...and I just know everyone appreciates your generosity to share so much!!!
