JustRite Monogram Stamper

Don't you just love all the cards you see with the JustRite Monogram Stamper? I sure do. And every single card I see made using the JR Stamper looks sooooooo easy-peasy!

Imagine my great joy when I found out that I was going to receive a JR Monogram Stamper for my very own!!!! I could hardly contain my excitement, and promptly purchased a zillion accessories from Michelle over at Stamper's Dream so they'd be here by the time my JR Stamper arrived via happy mail.

When it did finally arrived (thank you Denise!!!), I ripped and shredded until I held the sweet little contraption in my hot little hands. Oh it was beauteous! It comes in it's own fancy-schmancy storage box that will hold almost all my JR stuff. I'm such a lucky girl!

Or so I thought. Can I just be honest and tell you that me and the JR Stamper are not quite seeing eye-to-eye at the moment? Let me be clear, I do NOT think it's the JR Stamper's fault. No, I think there is some serious "operator error" going on here. I've had a really tough time stamping with it. When I tried to personalize with it, I lost letters (I have permanently lost an "E" and an "S"), and I didn't get a clear stamped image. I think I've figured out how to get a clear image when I stamp now though. I put a foam square underneath my paper before I stamp (it's cushy), and then it seems to stamp the image just fine. I have to do that with my Inque Boutique stamps as well, so that's no biggy.

After the first few days of playing with my new toy, I decided to put some breathing space between the two of us (me and the JR Stamper) so we could work out our differences, alone, LOL. It sat at my desk staring at me. I could almost hear it crying out to me begging me to try again. But I just wasn't ready. I needed more time to deal with my obvious failures to manage it properly.

Finally, last night I had to pick up my JR Stamper because I needed a card for today. My palms were sweaty and visions of prior attempts stamping with the beauteous JR Stamper flashed through my head. I did not want to fail again! I wanted to be like all the other fabulous stampers out there who clearly have no problem working with the JR Monogram Stamper!

I am happy to say, this card is a result of our coming together last night! Woo-hoo! I finally figured out how to use my JR Stamper! Now, I know it's a little plain, and not a very exciting card to look at. There are no fancy bells and whistles. But this card took forever to finish, so we are going to celebrate it regardless of what it looks like:)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy I could finally create something decent to show you! Do you want to hear some even more exciting news? I actually personalized a card with it last night and I love what I did!!!! And I didn't lose any letters! Woo-hoo! You'll see the result of that in a few days.

I feel so relieved that the JR Monogram Stamper and I have worked things out between us. It was seriously bothering me that I was having such trouble. I was beginning to wonder what was wrong with me, but I think I've crossed the hurdle and things from here on out are going to be just fine. If you want to try out the JR Monogram Stamper for yourself, I do HIGHLY recommend it, regardless of the problems I've had with it (remember, it's operator error, not product error:)!!). I can't wait to do some more personalizing with it! You can get one for yourself at Stamper's Dream. Since Michelle initially stocked a ton of JustRite Monogram Stamper accessories last week, she has sold out of most everything (there are a few items still available!), but she is confident she'll have the store restocked by Friday or Monday. I'll be sure and give you an update here on my blog once I know for sure they are back in, ok?

Be sure you go over there to look at all the other fun stuff Michelle is getting in her store....can you say PRISM PAPER??????????? Can you say Neenah Solor Cardstock????? Can you say Penny Black Christmas stamps????? Can you say Northwoods Rubber Stamps????? Yikes! Fabulous stuff arriving daily!!!

In the meantime, be on the lookout for another JR Monogram Stamper card from me in a few days, OK?

Hugs,
Amy

  3. Oh No - was going to ask hubby to get me one and if you had problems us mortals in the creative world will struggle. Can you explain what we need to do other than the cushion to get it to work properly, please? Thanks

  4. Love your card Amy! I actually purchased 2 sets of the teeny letters with the idea that I for sure would lose some! So I have a back up set! I just posted a JR card today too! (A graduation card using those teensy letters!)

  5. Hi Amy, I am so glad to see you have worked through your frustrations and love your stamper. As with any new toy there is a bit of a learning curve. And yes, we recommend that you use a stamp mat under your paper to get a crisper image impression. (I personally use a mouse pad.) Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences and I promise they will get better the more you use your stamper. Denise PS. I have lost many tiny letter too....if that makes you feel any better. :-)
