I didn't feel right just running off and having fun today and cheating you guys out of a card in the process, so I decided to post a card for you after all...{{{{quick, before I leave for the Open...before Hubby finds out what I'm doing!!!!}}}}}...
This card was made using a set from Inque Boutique! The name of the set is Silhouettes. Wanna know a big secret????? Michelle over at Stamper's Dream is having a sale on all Inque Boutique stamps this coming Saturday (June 28th), that's tomorrow! Everything Inque Boutique is 20% off!!! All you have to do when checking out is type in this special coupon code: AMAZING. If you don't type that code in at checkout, you won't get the discount, so don't forget it!
Ready to see the card I made???? I just love working with nature silhouettes, so this set was right up my alley! I used very thin watercolor paper, and stamped the three floral silhouettes onto the paper separately (I colored each one with markers first). Then I sprayed the paper with water. Once it was dry, I went back over and stamped the images again, using the same inks. Isn't it the coolest effect?. The first time I stamped the images, they REALLY ran, so you could hardly tell what the image was. That's why you stamp over it again once it's dry. After that, I stamped the French backgrounder over the image using Ranger Distress Ink in Tea Stain. It still wasn't right so I rubbed Tea Stain all over the entire image using a sponge as well. That significantly aged it enough for me! The sentiment is from Verve, the new Feeling Groovy stamp set. The bird is also from the Inque Boutique set, and I love it. And guess what? They give you TWO birds in the set, one flying in each direction! I love that!!! The thing I don't like about Carte Postale (SU!) is that the bird can only be flown one way. With this set, I've got a choice! I love choices!
Well, I've just got to get out the door and go watch some women golf!!! Be sure and head over to Stamper's Dream on Saturday to buy your favorite Inque Boutique stamps, ok? The sale lasts only ONE day, so hurry, hurry, hurry!!!
Fore!!!!
Hugs,
Amy
