I just have a minute to post a quick card for you this morning.
I've got my BSF leadership meeting to get ready for. It is BEAUTIFUL out this morning! God's great glory really shines through on days like today. There is nothing better than waking up with sunshine in my eyes and the precious birds chirping in my ear. And the cool morning breeze coming through the open window making me snuggle under the sheets for a minute or two longer! Thank you God for the gift of today.
This is another photo card for you. So sorry if you are sick of my photo cards, but I tell you, they are so fun to make! The colors of this tulip bed makes my jaw drop. The tulips were right outside the National Botanic Garden in Wash, DC last year. They were stunning. I used the photo to make a birthday card for my sister-in-law Jayne to bring with me to DC. She is the one I am going to visit. She will love that I made her a card using the pictures I took when I visited her last year. Don't they put a smile on your face? Flowers do that for me. I'm so thankful God gave me a love and appreciation for flowers.
Can I just say that God is so good? He works in such mysterious ways, I cannot tell you. I just opened up an email from a blogging friend that literally brought tears to my eyes. It is amazing how He uses each one of us to minister to others in need, whatever the circumstances. This friend is an amazing Christian woman who listens to what God is whispering in her ear every day. I wish I could do that. It seems many times all I hear is my own voice telling me what to do. That's not good. But God is using her to teach me how to be a better Christian woman, obedient to His call, so for that Jacki, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will write back to you later this afternoon after I return from bible study, ok?
Have a fabulous day peeps!
Hugs,
Amy
This is a pretty card. I love tulips and gerber daisies. Regarding your last few lines, I bet you've heard the voice of God ~ you certainly have the ability to look to Him for guidence and give Him thanks. That be a great beginning since HE inhabits the praises of His people! Be encouraged!
ReplyDeleteI love the photo cards!! If I could really get into gardening and keep plants alive, I'd copy the idea. But I'll just enjoy yours!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not at all tired of the photo cards - they're very refreshing! This one is beautiful! You're coming to DC? (I'm about an hour west.)
ReplyDeleteRe: your comment on my blog today -- GAME ON! I was going to do Super Sketch Sunday anyway, but I bet you weren't planning an Apricot card, lol! So tonight I have a date with my designer papers ... let's hope we get along okay :)
This is a wonderful photo! Perfect for a photo card. Hope all is well with your family in DC. And you scrounge a little "Amy" time too.
ReplyDeleteFabulous! Tulips are my fav!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have a real "iron club" friend (Reba Bowman)in Jacki--ya know, "iron sharpeneth iron." God is good.
ReplyDeleteLove your photo cards--God's art is WAY more beautiful than ours, hmm?
