A Whole Lotta Chocolate Goin' On....

I'll keep today short and sweet today (in more ways than one, hee-hee!) since yesterday's post went so long.

First, look at this scrumpdillyicious chocolate cake I made last weekend! Yes, peeps, I made this unbelieveably delicious cake from scratch. Not partially from scratch. 100% scratch. And boy, was it worth the trouble! It was amazing. If you just happen to have a few spare hours to yourself sometime soon, consider spending the time making this heavenly delight for your loved ones. I mean, this wasn't just good. It was mouth-watering, drool all over yourself good!

I found the recipe here. I won't go into anymore details here, but if you like chocolate cake, consider clicking the link for the recipe! It's a very interesting recipe with ingredients I would have never thought would go into a chocolate cake......

Today's card is one I made last weekend (I think). It's just a really easy, simple Mom's Day card that anyone can make. Sometimes simple best, isn't it? I just love the Cuttlebug Swiss Dot folder, it makes the card perfect! The stamps are Silhouette Blossoms from CHF.

I have a few appointments today, one of which is seeing Oldest Son off on his church choir trip to Madison, WI. They are singing on Sunday at a church in the area. If any of you are from that area, drop me a line and I'll let you know where they are singing, ok? His choir is 175 members strong, so it's a sight you won't want to miss! Tonight we have some friends for dinner. I think we're just grilling some brats and having asian salad, yummy.

Have a great day!

  5. yummo!!! i have a chocolate cake recipe that i've sworn by for years from Hershey, and it too calls for boiling water. to that, you add instant coffee and it only makes the chocolate deeper and more intense in flavor. the sour cream surely adds quite a moistness...going to have to give this one a whirl!

    great simple card too!

ps...haven't heard much about triumphant tuesdays or the goals you set lately. how ya doin' on those?
