Here is a sympathy card I made this week using the blooms from Silhouette Blooms I again. I had a scrap piece of blue designer paper sittin in my drawer that I went ahead and stamped some blooms on using Ballet Blue ink. I made sure to cover most of the paper so the blooms could be seen once the main panel had been placed on the front of the card.
For the main panel, I first stamped the blooms lightly over the whole panel. Then I used the French backgrounder and stamped that on the main panel as well using Ranger Distress Ink in Tea Stain. At the very bottom of the panel, I stamped the sympathy sentiment using Brilliance black ink. The whole panel was distressed as well using Ranger Distress Ink in Tea Stain using a sponge.
A wide black and white gingham ribbon was tied around the card to finish it off. I really like the bright blue contrasting with the stark black in the sentiment and ribbon. I'm not typically a blue person, but I'm liking it on this sympathy card!
Have a great day!
Hugs,
Amy
WOW....your just crankin' them out and they are alll stunning!
ReplyDeleteI love the blue background and the whole card is very soothing and appropriate as a sympathy card. I need to play some more with the more simple stamps!
ReplyDeleteAmy, once again you have bowled me over with your creativity. This sympathy card is beautiful. I think my next purchase will be the Silhouette Blooms set. They add just the right touch to make a simple card very impressive! Thanks again for your work and inspiration.

ReplyDeleteVery very pretty Amy. There is something so soothing about blue's.
ReplyDeletei need to be braver about stamping on dp. this look is really cool!
ReplyDeleteThis is really lovely. I like how the colors on your main panel are more "muted" then the ones on the background paper. It just has a nice "feel" to it if that makes sense. Peaceful and Serene.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous, Amy. 'Course, blue is my favorite color.
ReplyDeleteWell, it looks like YOU'RE BACK...the cards are colorful and happy...so you must have found PEACE during your time off. What you love to do shouldn't be "work" but "fun". Hope you keep your HAPPY.

ReplyDeleteHow pretty, Amy! I love the colors. I went to our BSF leaders' retreat this weekend (it was Texas' turn). I thought about you (even though I don't really know you) and wished that it could have been your turn to go. I don't know where your area is on the retreat calendar rotation, but I hope it's soon. Keep seeking the Lord, and He will meet you wherever you are.
