Ouch.

Somebody else seems to be having a bad day too!!! In my opinion, if you are bold and brazen enough to leave someone who's had a rough year a comment like this one, you should be bold and brazen enough to sign your name. I hope this person doesn't visit my blog again. Hit the road chicky!!!!! Don't let the door hit you on the butt on the way out!!!! Never in my right mind would I leave someone a comment like this person left me just a few minutes ago. She should be ashamed of herself.

"You feel sorry for yourself way too much! It gets old reading about how depressed you are or what little you have! You are alive and healthy...obviously that isn't enough for you! Put on someone else's shoes once in a while. And if you are crying poor all the time, how do you have the money to spend spend spend?"

To all the rest of my wonderful blog readers, I love you and value your support!

Hugs,
Amy

  2. Wow. That was perfectly rude. It is a completly NORMAL human behavior to share your experiences and feelings with your FRIENDS. Who DOESN'T do that?! My guess is this person isn't one of yours, so try to let it breeze by you. Remember, "they will know we are Christians by our LOVE."

I love checking your blog, and hope that this incident didn't put a damper on your day.

  4. It's a shame this person felt it was appropriate to post that on your blog comments. Evidently they dont want bloggers to be honest and candid with their readers.

Blogging is such a theraputic act in itself, and if you are comfortable sharing your situation with your readers then dont hold back. By the way, I think you are doing a marvelous job holding yourself together, and remember we are only given what we can handle!

Oh my!! Actually, I'm laughing my butt off...but it's really not that funny!! This poor woman (or perhaps it's a man) is obviously having a rough time of it and cannot find it in herself (himself) to have any sympathy. She (he) is in some serious need of prayers...ask your BSF members to pray!!!

I think people often forget that blogs are PERSONAL and that you can put WHATEVER YOU WANT in your blog!!! I think of it as your journal and we are privileged enough to be allowed a peek at your "diary". You are correct in telling this person to "hit the road". No one is forcing this person to read your blog.

There was quite a bit of negativity going around recently in one of my email groups regarding blogs. People complaining about music or lack or posts, blah, blah, blah. As far as I'm concerned "It's MY party; I'll cry if I want to" applies to blogging.

Just pray for this person, Amy, and go on with what you do. I think you are AWESOME. You are in my 'favorites' and I check you EVERY DAY, rain OR shine!

    Hugs!!! Mary L.

  10. Amy, I have never, not once, felt you have a negative attitude in your blog posts. I too have gotten some unbearably rude comments from strangers and my hubby is convinced it's the new age in prank calling for people to write nasty things on people's blog comments. Keep up your beautiful work and don't let the stinkers of the world rain on your parade. Blessings!

Personally, I'm always excited when I see on my google reader that your blog has been updated.

Keep your chin up. Can't wait to see what you do tomorrow for Scrap Stash Saturday, its always my favorite feature!!

  12. WOW - that's harsh! Let me just share what I love about your blog: You are a real person with real things going on in your life and it's good to know, not that I revel in you having problems, but that I'm not the only one with struggles. It's also wonderful to know how much you love our Lord and I am so inspired, not only by your artwork, but also your love for Him and how you share that unashamedly with us all. Bless you Amy - glad to know you can let things roll off your back and be on with bigger and better things. Have a blessed weekend and thanks for sharing with us!

Amy, I seldom comment, although I do read your blog, and I can't help but think did she comment on the wrong blog? Sheesh, I don't feel that way reading your posts, I feel akin to your strive to be right with God and your honesty in dealing with life...it is life, and it's your blog.

Bless you, and know I (and I'm sure I speak for many others) enjoy your blog and your chatter. Say a prayer for her and let her ask the maker for forgiveness.

    Love ya girl...hugs!

  17. Oh Amy, don't let someone so callous get to you! I felt the same way after I read your post, but after a few seconds, I can feel sorry for her... maybe her life is the pits right now & this is the only way she can feel better - by lashing out! Sorry she didn't sign her name - we could be praying for her!!! Well, God knows who she is & I'll say a prayer anyhow.

  18. Unbelievable! If she feels that way about you and your blog then why is she bothering to read it so often! Don't mind her, I enjoy reading yours and seeing all your wonderful creations. Take care and have a great weekend!!

  19. Wow that is so uncalled for! That says a LOT more about her than about you. That's all her stuff, so you just keep on keeping on lady! The rest of us will keep reading and benefitting from your honesty and creativity! :-)

  20. What nerve!!! If she doesn't like to read about your life and has such strong feelings about what you write about on "YOUR" blog, I wonder why in the heck she reads it??? Judging from her comment, it sounds like she must have been reading quite a bit on your blog(not just stumbled across it once). Some people- Geesh!!!
Don't you let her get to you Amy! Remember there are tons of us who love coming to your blog, seeing your lovely creations and feel with you when life throws you the Ups and Downs!

WOW! Amy, I am sorry that someone would comment like that. And especially be cowardly about it. I love reading your blog. I think you are very even and true. On behalf of everyone who loves reading your blog, seeing your designs and supporting you in your daily grind, may I wish the author of the completely uncalled-for and hateful comment a big raspberry! I would wish something stronger but this is not the forum for that. Since she doesn't have the cojones to even sign her name (and I'm assuming it's a her)I would let that go like water off a duck's back. 29. My sister used to have a bumper sticker in her college days that read "Mean People Suck." Now obviously, since she and I are both raising young impressionable children, such bumper stickers are not appropriate but the message says a lot! Not sure what is going on today but I had a run in with an individual (certainly can't refer to her as a "lady") who I accidently pulled out in front of in the bank parking lot. Now no one was ever in peril. I had looked both ways but just didn't see her and she did not even have to brake because of the large distance between us. Anyway, she honks her horn and when I look up and see her, I wave and mouth very exageratively "I'm sorry." She proceeds to pull up beside me so that I cannot leave the parking lot ,get out of her car leaving her small child, and begins to cuss me out (in front of my 10 & 4 year old DD.) I didn't roll down my window but tried to explain that I had appologized but she kept on and on. Finally, she gets back in her car and I'm shaking (what if she had tried to hurt me or my girls) and both of my daughters are crying. I'm trying to hold it together when my 10-year-old said "Mom you tell us in GS we shouldn't say anything unless it is Kind, True AND Necessary and none of what that woman said was any of those. I love you, Mom" of course, that's when my tears started to flow! Amy, I consider the gals that I communicate with in blogland my friends, if only cyber friends, and we all need friends to talk to. Keep up the awesome, elequent posts! I love them!

Double ouch!!! I was rather stunned reading this comment. Wow, I am sorry for you having received the brunt end of someone elses misery! I admire your honesty that life is not rainbows and roses, its just you being real about life. And life today is stressful, for most people. So, put that comment in a bubble and blow it away.........thanks for sharing your view on 'The New earth' I was going to buy it but kept putting it off because I find Oprah (and I really like her) to be hanging on to the new age philosophies more and more and it conflicts with my christianity. I won't bother wasting my money on it now. Have a good weekend and here's some extra hugs coming your way!

I can't believe that a person could be so cold-hearted towards another who has been through so much grieving, but I guess there are more truly insensitive and cruel people out in the world (and in our stamping community) than I thought. I'm sorry that you had to read such hurtful words. We, your blogging friends, continue to stand with you in prayer for the situations in which God has you right now....for His purposes. Perhaps the comment came across as harsh, but I think the person who left that comment is just trying to get you to realize that there are many people who read your blog who are much worse off....they have lost their loved one in Iraq, have a child who is seriously ill. Put yourself in their shoes. You should be thankful for all that you have. I am a Christian myself and blaming that comment on Satan is not productive. You should see it as a reminder from God that we should all be thankful for what we have. Writing nasty comments back is not what God would want.
