Easter Bunnies!

How 'bout an Easter card to get you in the mood? Yep, the Valentine's Day stamps have been packed up and put away and now it's time to gear up for Easter. I'm not a St. Paddy's day girl, so I just passed right on over that holiday!

I love this new paper from Making Memories. Isn't it bright and cheerful? I think it would adapt well to baby cards too! I don't have many Easter stamps, but this is one of my favorites that I do have. This little bunny is uber adorable. He is from Inkadinkado and I've had him for a while. The sentiment is from Stampendous.

The cardstock I used were Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, and Pretty In Pink. The main image was stamped on a rectangle cut out from my Nestabilites and it was then mounted on a scalloped rectangle. Mr. Bunny was painted with my aquapainter and Pretty In Pink, Certainly Celery, and Bashful Blue inks. He is outlined with my Stardust Gel Pen. I believe the grass stamp is from A Muse.

So, what's going on in your lives? Are things going well? I'm hanging in there. Yesterday was a nice, relaxing day. I managed to get my office cleaned, now I just need to get an industrial sized vacuum cleaner in here to suck up all the little tiny scraps I have laying all over the floor. I have a bunch of errands to run today to get ready for the craft gathering I'm having at my house tonight with all the basketball moms.

Before I leave you today, I wanted to share this beautiful photograph of the Lupines (pronounced Loo-pins)found up in Northern MN (Lutsen). I took this picture last June on our way home from Family Work Week. They have to be one of my all-time favorite wild flowers, and literally, fields of these line the roadways for miles! It's a sight to behold. And what better way to remember the promise of spring/early summer than these beautiful flowers. They give me hope of a warmer tomorrow. Is it apparent to you I've had it with the cold weather here? LOL.

Hugs,
Amy

  1. Thanks for sharing the beautiful photo of the Lupines - must be like our Texas bluebonnets & Indian Paintbrush that line our roadways (only we have to wait till further into spring!) I've had it with cold weather too, although you have it worse. My back is "out" again. I've had 3 weeks of this & I'm ready for it to GO AWAY! If I sit very still & don't move it doesn't hurt. LOL!!! When was the last time I stamped? About 3 weeks ago! I'm so ready to get in there & make some cards. Your little bunny is so sweet - that's a stamp worth hanging on to. Blessings on your day!

LOVE the photograph! I'm with you on the cold. I don't mind it for the most part, but as March is quickly approaching, I'm very ready for some green!

  4. So adorable! I love this little guy - I'm gonna have to go dig him out of my stash and play. I'm ready for spring too. Yesterday it was warm enough to wear just a t-shirt to the post office, and today I woke up to inches of snow! Crazy weather, I tell you! :)

  7. Love the card, the paper, the bunny and the sentiment - also the photo of lupins. They are often grown in the UK in cottage style gardens. Only trouble is the slugs and snails love them!

  8. I was just surfing around your blog and MAN, I could stay here all day! The lighthouse card you created a few posts ago is absolutely breathtaking. I also loved the story you shared about your "moment with God" at the intersection. I have had a few of those moments as well. Isn't it great when you can connect the dots and offer it back up to Him in thanksgiving? Take care & thanks for stopping by "my place!"

I live in Northern CA and have one of these beautiful deep Purple Lupins growing wild in my garden!

I have no idea where it came from (some little birdie left it).

I gathered seeds from it last summer and I am going to try and grow more this Spring.

It is just started to sprout up again after all the frost and winds.

Thanks for beautiful picture of them!

Cute card! Thanks for sharing the pic of the lupines! I can't wait to see something like that around here (NE Ohio in the Snowbelt). We are so tired of cold and snow, here!

  11. That is too cute! I just got that stamp this year and have yet to ink it up. Thanks for the inspiration. You did a wonderful job with the coloring of this image! Love, love that paper! Also, thanks for the cheerful photo of the Lupines! We had a small peak of Spring in AL this week but tonight it got all cold (well, 35 degrees so I'm not really whining) and rainy!

  12. That is a seriously adorable card! I tried to go out my driveway last night. Totally sliding around. I couldn't even WALK up my driveway. I would stand still and start sliding down the hill. Blech! So I'm "thinking spring" too.
