Get Comfy...

No, not you silly. My card!

I bought these adorable Stamping Bella jammies from a LSS last fall, and had only used them once because I didn't know what kind of sentiment to use along with them. I even asked my ever faithful readers for help. Lo and behold, when I was at Ellen Hutson's online store to order my Nestabilities a few weeks ago, I found a sentiment that was uber perfect to use along with the jammies! I was SO excited when I found it.....you can imagine how quickly I hit the "add to cart" button? LOL.

When I put this card together, it was one of the first times I had used my new Nestabilities dies, so the card is just so-so. But I wanted to show you how well the sentiment goes with the jammies, so I just decided to bite the bullet and show you the card regardless of what I thought of it. I'm thinking I need a mat underneath the Certainly Celery scalloped rectangle because it doesn't stand out so much next to the designer paper...like I said, there's a learning curve associated with these Nestabilities...

I stamped the jammies on a piece of scrap designer paper and then outline both pieces with my Stardust pen. Can't you just see the sparkle coming off of the jammies? I would love a pair of jammies that looked like this! LOL. I mounted them on a small rectangle scallop with dimensional tape to make them pop. Isn't this just the perfect get well card? Thanks for making such a great sentiment Ellen!!!

It has been a great week/weekend since Christmas. I've gotten so many cards made, which makes me happy! I have my annual high school girls get-together next weekend, so I needed to beef up my stash so they could buy, buy, buy! I need to make some money so I can buy more new stamps from the new SU catalog, which, by the way, I think is fabulous! There are some great stamps in it this time. I'm much happier with the catalog this time than I was the last one!

One other thing that's on my list of things to do before the new year is to make my list of goals for 2008. I plan on recapping 2007 in a post on Monday, so I can see if I achieved all the goals I set for myself last New Years. I definitely have some ideas for what's going on my list for this coming year.....have you thought about it much? What do you want to accomplish this year, both in your personal life and in your blogging/stamping life?

Well, it's time to run, but not without first reminding you about my blog candy! You have until midnight Monday night to leave a comment for me here, telling me what kind of stamps you're looking for but can't seem to find! The odds are pretty good, so don't forget to leave me a comment for your chance to WIN!

Hugs,
Amy

Love the jammies! I am always looking for stamps for teenage boys that are into computers, electronics etc.. Ones that can be used in scrapbooks and on cards. Happy New year!

  4. As if those 2 stamps were made for each other! This is awesome, Amy! If you are still on a learning curb, we can expect wonderful things from you and your Nestabilities (aren't they fun)!

  6. that's a great sentiment to encourage someone on the mend. i'm glad you're showing what you're learning as you get comfy with the nestabilities.

i'm not sure what i want to accomplish in the coming year, but i want to be the kind of person that people feel they can approach. i think i come off as someone who is genuine, but i want to be more open to really embracing life in this coming year.

in my blogging/stamping life, i want to do more creating and less CASE-ing. any suggestions?
