No cards today...

I was sitting at my studio desk just a bit ago finally getting some cards made and received a phone call from my Dad. My mom is back in the hospital having a second angiogram. Remember, her first was just two weeks ago, when they found blockage in two arteries and ended up doing two stents. She was finally starting to feel better at the end of last week (she took my SIL and I out for lunch on Friday and seemed fine). But this weekend she was starting to experience some difficulty breathing. Last night they admitted her to the hospital. They did an EKG and it was pretty wacky I guess. Her pace maker was working ALOT (not a good thing). The hospital screwed up calling her dr, so she didn't see her really cardiologist until this morning. Medtronic came in and recalibrated her pace maker. They thought she might have a blood clot in her heart, but the CT showed nothing. So, the dr. wanted to go back in and do another angiogram today. She went into the operating room at about 1150am CST, about 5o minutes ago. They don't take too long, but I haven't heard back from my Dad yet. Please say some prayers for her.

I can't believe this is happening again. And again. And again to us this summer. It's becoming surreal. I was just getting myself back on equaliberium and boom, here we go again. I'm scared this time. The heart is nothing to mess with.

I'll be in touch tomorrow with an update hopefully. For now, all I can do is wait to hear from my Dad.

Hugs,
Amy

I hope your mom's angiogram goes quickly and uneventfully. My father had an emergency quadruple bypass several years back; so, I have an idea of how scary this kind of thing is.

I am so sorry, Amy. Your last few months has been really full of hard, emotional family stuff and my heart goes out to you. Our family is going through similar stuff on both sides too, and it can really get a person down. Remember to look up and be at peace.

    Many blessings,
    barb
