I got tagged by someone to fill out this Christmas Questionnaire, so here goes! I hope all of you take the time to answer these fun questions yourselves--it's super fun to get to know who you are through things like this! Merry Christmas!


1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Neither, can I add "hot apple cider"?
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just set them under the tree? Santa has never wrapped his gifts...it's just too much work when he's got so many places go! Santa drops the gifts right near the Christmas tree, in a pile for each kid.
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? Mmm...I've got one tree with white and one tree with colored!
4. Do you hang mistletoe? Never have, my parents didn't either. My boys would be so grossed out if I did that!
5. When do you put your decorations up? Usually the day after Thanksgiving, but this year it was a little later.
6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? I don't think I have a favorite holiday dish. My hubby eats Oyster Stew every Christmas Eve (yucky), but I don't think I've ever looked forward to any one food dish during Christmas.
7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child. Going to the midnight candlelight church service every Christmas Eve, and opening one present Christmas Eve. It was always pajamas. I do the same thing with my kids to this day!
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I don't remember. I've never even had that "talk" with my boys who are 15 and 12. Certainly they know there isn't a Santa, but I've never quite verbally "confirmed" it with them! Why would I? Keeps that sense of wonderment about Christmas...
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? My husband and I don't, but the boys open one, and it's always pajamas!
10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree? With the ornaments the boys have made over the years, plus a new one they are both given each year that commemorates what they are doing in their life at the time. For example, this year, my 15 year old got an electric guitar ornament, and my 12 year old got a nutcracker, because for some reason, he has taken an interest in them this year. He wants us to collect them, but I think they're creepy! So that won't be happening any time soon!
11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? I live in MN, I have a love/hate relationship with it!
12. Can you ice skate? Heavens no. Never much loved it either, because my toes always froze in like a second flat. I spent most of my time in the warming house!
13. Do you remember your favorite gift? Mmm, I don't.....
14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you? The music, the food, the gathering of family....
15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? Cookies! I especially love almond covered pretzles!
16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? I make krumkaka every year and I love doing it. However, youngest son DROPPED my beloved krumkaka iron yesterday and broke it! The only thing saving him from me hanging him from the ceiling by his ears was my mother, his grandmother, who was standing right there:)!
17. What tops your tree? Nothing
18. Which do you prefer giving or receiving? I love giving, but recieving is fun too!
19. What is your favorite Christmas Song? Oh Come all ye Faithful....
20. Candy Canes! Yuck or Yum? Yuck, not a big fan!
