Wow, I've gotta send out big {{{{{hugs}}}}} to the two very special people who read my blog, Cindy and Flower (I'm sorry Flower, I don't know your real name)!!!! Only two of you responded to my last post about helping me choose a banner "tag line" for my new banner. Do you think it's time for me give up blogging since no one reads it???? I really enjoy doing it, so I think I'll press on, whether or not the masses come:). And as long as I know Cindy and Flower will show up from time to time, I'll be a happy camper:)!!
Anyhoo....thanks to both of you for getting the creative juices flowing in my own brain, you both had some great ideas. I am finding myself vascillating between Flower's idea of "Art from the Heart" to a slightly modified version of Cindy's idea of "Eloquent expressions from my heart to yours". I think I'd modify it a bit to be "Expressions of love from my heart to yours". Since I can't choose between the two ideas, I want to send BOTH of you a little special something for helping me out. PM me at SCS (HeartfeltGreetings) with your snail mail and I'll send something off soon!
I've been able to get a few cards/crafts finished this past weekend, it feels so good to accomplish something from start to finish. I think as mom's we rarely can say that because we are constantly moving from one fire to another throughout the day, so by the end of the day we scratch our heads and ask ourselves "what the heck did I get done today?" I made this lunchbox tin for my SIL for a little Christmas gift. It's for organizing and storing her cards.
I hope she likes it. Blue and green are her favorite colors. Last night, I got to play with my Cuttlebug and the new embossing folders I bought this past weekend! I got the flower folder, and I love it! For fun, last night I put the WHOLE folded card through the Bug, and this is how it turned out...obviously the embossing design shows up on the inside of the card, all the way to the back side!
Believe it or not, I like the looks of it! I think I'll put a piece of cut white paper on the INSIDE of the card to make it easy to write on, but other than that, it's good to go. Definitely a different look.
Well, I've gotta get a move on. Boys are due home any minute. Tonight I have a parent's meeting at the high school for the marching band trip my son is leaving on 12/26. His band, 350 strong, will be marching in the ROSE BOWL PARADE! I am so excited for him, but really nervous too. It's scary sending a 15 year old out on his own to another state. Tonight is the final meeting before the trip that
will layout all the details of the trip for the parents. I know I'll be a nervous wreck the whole time he's gone. His little brother, however, is COUNTIN' the days till he's gone, as only a little brother would:)!

Don't give up blogging! I read daily, just didn't have any clue of what you should put for your tag line. Looking forward to seeing your new banner!
ReplyDeleteI read too...I put a feed blitz field so people could subscribe to my blog. I don't have many but at least it saves them the trouble of clicking from one blog to another (since the feed will let them know each time you update). Cheers, Allison

I read too - just have been sick (my kids, DH, and myself) the past 2 weeks. So, my blog reading has been neglected - trying to catch up tonight. Can't wait to see the new banner!!
ReplyDeleteI love the embossed card. I have the same folder but haven't use it yet. I really wanted to just emboss on the card instead of layering it on and yours is gorgeous and has inspired me!
ReplyDeleteDon't you dare stop blogging! lol I think a lot of people visit, but maybe don't comment. I was a blog lurker there for a while myself.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you were able to come up with a name suitable for you. I like it!! You don't need to send me a thing though, it was fun! I can't wait to see your new banner.
